Ein Engagement im Bereich Kultur, Umwelt und Nachhaltigkeit

Die wesentlichen Herausforderungen unserer Zeit kennen keine Grenzen.

Die Veränderungen im Bereich Klima und Umwelt manifestieren sich nicht nur in den Polarregionen, sondern zunehmend auch bei uns. Es ist abzusehen, dass sie das Leben kommender Generationen immer stärker beeinflussen werden.

Da die Künstler aus der Arktis diese Herausforderungen thematisieren bezweckt der Verein „Gemeinsame Arktis“ die ideelle und finanzielle Förderung von Kunst und Kultur der Bewohner der Arktis mit dem Ziel die zeitgenössische Kunst aus der Arktis international bekannter zu machen, einen Beitrag zur Erhaltung der Vielfalt der Kulturen zu leisten, und durch Einblick in die Lebensweise und klimabedingten Herausforderungen das Verständnis für die globalen Zusammenhänge im Umweltbereich zu verbessern.

Im Rahmen dieses Zweckes übernimmt der Verein auch die Geschäftsführung des öffentlich zugänglichen Museum Cerny, einem Museum für Kunst aus dem Polarkreis. http://www.museumcerny.ch

Der Verein kann im Rahmen dieser Zielsetzung auch in anderen Bereichen wie der Medizin oder Archäologie tätig werden.

Der Verein Gemeinsame Arktis ist als gemeinnützige Organisation anerkannt und steuerbefreit.

The main challenges of our time know no boundaries.

Changes in the climate and the environment are no longer only manifesting themselves today in the polar regions, but they are also increasingly being felt in our country and around the world.

It is foreseeable that they will progressively influence the lives of future generations.

As the artists in the Arctic address these challenges, the aim of the association "Shared Arctic" is to provide ideal and financial support for art and culture of the inhabitants of the Arctic with the aim of making contemporary art from the Arctic better known internationally contributing to the preservation of the diversity of cultures and providing an insight into the way of life and climate-related challenges of the peoples in the Arctic, as well as, to improve the understanding of global interrelationships in the environment.

In its framework, the association manages the publicly accessible

Museum Cerny.contemporary circumpolar art.

Within the scope of its objectives, the association can also be active in other areas, such as medicine or archeology.
